Dr. Jim Carson IV’s passion for veterinary medicine started early—growing up coming to the clinic with his dad, who is also a veterinarian and still practices here today. Fueled by curiosity (and occasionally by doing exactly what his dad told him not to!), Dr.
Dr. Emily Courville is an Associate Veterinarian and Medical Director at Carson Animal Hospital, where she leads the medical team in delivering high-quality, compassionate veterinary care.
Now in her eighth year with Carson Animal Hospital, Dr. Kristy Furman brings a passion for personalized veterinary care to every patient she sees.
Dr. Kelsie Melancon Marks is a compassionate and dedicated veterinarian who knew from a young age that she was meant to care for animals.
Dr. Erica Fontenot is a graduate of Louisiana State University and the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. She also holds certifications as a Veterinary Acupuncturist and as a Palliative and End-of-Life Care Practitioner through Chi University.
Dr. Ana Leah Meaux has dreamed of becoming a veterinarian since she was a little girl growing up in Abbeville, Louisiana.

Working with animals has been my passion since I was very young. I grew up on a farm here in Lafayette and always knew my favorite place to be was outside with our animals. I started with Carson Vet Clinic in October of 2017 and have been a technician for almost 18 years.
